What we teach
Practices in movement, breath, and attention
Each class teaches a practice and what makes a practice take hold: how often, how much, in what setting, and how to keep it going in an ordinary week. The aim is a practice you can carry on your own.
Movement
Slow, repeatable movement drawn from chair yoga, qigong, tai chi, and yoga. Seated or standing, at your own pace.
Breath
Steady breathing practices you can carry into an ordinary day.
Attention
Meditation and mindfulness: unhurried attention to what is here.
Classes now
Mindful Movement
Mindful Movement is a group class built around three simple things: slow, repeatable movement; steady breathing; and unhurried attention.
Everyone has a chair. The class moves between seated and standing practice. Standing is always optional, and can always be chair supported. Staying seated for the whole class is fully taking part.
No experience, flexibility, or special clothing is needed. Come as you are.
Why noon?
At noon the sun is at its highest point. The brightest moment of the day, the most light, the fewest shadows. Nothing leans. Nothing casts sideways. It also happens to be our family name. That’s the whole idea of the practice: less straining toward something, more settling into alignment with what’s already here. Stop striving. Start aligning.

Brian Noon & Raj Trivedi

Brian Noon, MS
Movement, breath, and attention
Brian Noon holds an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (Walden University, 2017). His study of mindfulness and meditation began in 2010 as an undergraduate at Montana State University, where he worked in two psychology research laboratories, including one focused on memory and aging. He received formal instruction in tai chi and qigong from 2015 to 2017, has taught mindfulness and meditation since 2016, and has led classes in Sussex County since 2025.
He previously worked in school-based behavioral settings and as a licensed clinical professional counselor in Montana. Brian no longer practices as a counselor. The Noon Practice offers wellness education, not counseling, therapy, or medical care.

Raj Trivedi
Breath and movement, co-facilitator
Raj Trivedi co-facilitates the breath and movement portions of the class. He completed Yoga Teacher Training Phase I in July 2020 and brings a calm, steady presence to the room. He has taught yoga at the Sussex County YMCA in Hardyston since 2024, has led monthly group meditation, breathwork, and yoga sessions for a wellness coaching program since 2021, and led workplace meditation sessions from 2020 to 2021.
Brian and Raj have each taught at libraries across Sussex County since 2025, and have taught Mindful Movement together since 2026.
Brian and Raj built these classes themselves, drawing on traditions including yoga, qigong, and tai chi, and on their years of teaching breathing, meditation, and attention.
